Joseph Juliano
 
A 1994 graduate of Hofstra Law School, Joe served Nassau County as a Deputy County Attorney for five years, practicing extensively in the areas of municipal law, real property law, land use and public contracts, and also managed related litigation regarding tax liens, construction contracts and procurement matters. He served on Nassau County’s Americans With Disabilities (ADA) Compliance Committee, prepared and presented ordinance and resolutions to the Nassau County Legislature, and worked closely with the Nassau County Police Department’s Asset Forfeiture Bureau. Since 2000, Joseph has been in private practice, representing individuals, business entities and organizations in real estate transactions, zoning and land use matters, wills, trusts and estates, corporate law, business law, and construction law, as well as general and commercial litigation, including motion practice, hearings, trials and appeals.  Joseph Juliano also serves as an elected Trustee for Bellerose Village.  He can be contacted directly by email at jjuliano@jandslawfirm.com
Thomas R. Scanlon
 
 A 1997 graduate of CUNY School of Law, Tom has been practicing law since 1998. Tom began his legal career with the Nassau County Attorney’s Office, where he served as a Deputy County Attorney defending the County of Nassau and its employees in personal injury and accident cases, constitutional and civil rights actions, and tax certiorari matters.  Additionally, for two legislative sessions, Tom served as the County's Legislative Liaison in Albany, lobbying for the County’s legislative and budgetary programs before the New York State Legislature and the Governor’s Office.  From 2000-2003, Tom worked as In-House defense counsel for Travelers Insurance company and from 2003-2004 as trial attorney for Lawrence Rogak, LLC.  Tom's litigation practice encompassed all types of personal injury suits, ranging from “trip and fall” and motor vehicle accidents to labor law matters.  From 2004-2011, Tom was General Counsel and  Regulatory and Governmental Affairs manager for Interstate National Dealer Services, Inc. a nationwide service contract and insurance company.  In that capacity, Tom provided a full range of legal services including corporate governance, contract and agreement review, management and direction of all company litigation, arbitration and governmental inquiries, regulatory and marketing compliance, company trade association representation, regulatory and administrative agency appearances and many other functions required by a company involved in interstate commerce.   He can be contacted directly at  tscanlon@jandslawfirm.com
